Central Committee (Central Council)

The Central Committee is the highest governing authority of the Runsheeg Political Party during the period between two sessions of the General Assembly. It is responsible for providing political leadership, policy guidance, organizational oversight, and strategic direction, while ensuring the implementation of decisions adopted by the General Assembly.

Composition of the Central Committee
  1. The Central Committee shall be composed of two hundred and twenty-five (225) members, including the Party Chairperson.

  2. Any individual who has served as the Chairperson of the Runsheeg Political Party shall, upon vacating office, automatically become a lifetime member of the Central Committee, provided that they were not removed from office through disciplinary or constitutional procedures and that their term was completed lawfully.

  3. Three-quarters (3/4) of the members of the Central Committee shall be elected by the General Assembly of the Party.

  4. The remaining one-quarter (1/4) of the members shall be elected during the first official sitting of the Central Committee, in accordance with Party regulations and internal by-laws.

Filling of Vacancies
  1. In the event that a seat within the Central Committee becomes vacant, the vacancy shall be filled as follows:

If the vacant seat was held by a member elected by the General Assembly, it shall be filled by the candidate who obtained the highest number of votes among the reserve candidates in the most recent Central Committee election. Where two or more reserve candidates received an equal number of votes, the selection shall be determined by lottery or draw, conducted transparently.
  2. If the vacant seat was originally filled through election by the Central Committee itself, the replacement shall be elected by the Central Committee in accordance with its internal procedures.

  3. Where one-half (1/2) or more of the members of the Central Committee vacate their seats simultaneously for any reason, an Extraordinary General Assembly shall be convened to fill the vacant positions and restore the full composition of the Central Committee.
