Runsheeg Political Party: Membership Framework

I. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To join the Runsheeg Political Party, an applicant must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Citizenship & Health: Must be a Somali citizen of sound mental health.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ideological Alignment: Must uphold the party’s core principles, goals, and bylaws, and commit to executing directives from the Party’s governing bodies.
  • Personal Integrity: Must maintain high moral standards and a positive reputation within the community.
  • Exclusivity: Must not hold membership in any other domestic political party or belong to extremist groups whose ideologies conflict with those of Runsheeg.
  • Formal Application: Must complete the official registration process.
  • Financial Commitment: Must fulfill the initial registration fee and subsequent annual contributions.

II.RIGHTS OF THE MEMBER

As a stakeholder in the Runsheeg Party, every member is entitled to:

  • Participation: The right to vote in party elections and stand as a candidate for internal positions.
  • Free Expression: The right to voice opinions freely, provided they align with the party constitution and national law.
  • Transparency: Access to vital information regarding party operations and strategic direction.
  • Due Process: The right to a fair defense against any internal allegations or disciplinary actions.
  • Inquiry: The right to request official documentation regarding party policies from their respective local branch.
  • Resignation: The right to step down from party roles via written notice to the State or Federal Secretary General.
  • Legal & Political Support: The right to legal counsel in cases of expulsion and party protection if targeted by external political pressure due to their party-aligned activities.

III. MEMBER OBLIGATIONS

All members are expected to:

  • Advocacy: Actively promote the party’s vision and work toward achieving its political milestones.
  • Compliance: Strictly adhere to the party’s code of conduct and official resolutions.
  • Engagement: Attend scheduled meetings and participate in party campaigns and training sessions.
  • Confidentiality: Safeguard the party’s sensitive information and protect its public image.
  • Growth: Contribute to the expansion of the party’s grassroots support base.
  • Financial Support: Ensure timely payment of all membership dues.
  • Protocol: Obtain explicit approval from the Executive Council before seeking or accepting any public political office.

IV. ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES

  • Annual Audit: The Executive Council will conduct a yearly membership review in January to ensure data accuracy and organizational integrity.
  • Arrears & Suspension: Membership will be temporarily suspended if dues remain unpaid for four months. Full status is restored immediately upon settlement of the debt.
  • Digital Enrollment: Applications submitted via the official web portal are valid without a physical signature.
  • Contributions: Any payments exceeding the standard dues will be recorded as voluntary donations to the party’s general fund.
  • Honorary Status: Lifetime membership may be granted to distinguished individuals upon the recommendation of the Executive Council and approval of the Central Council.
  • Youth Division: Members aged 18 to 39 shall be formally organized under the Runsheeg Youth Wing.

V. MEMBERSHIP DUES & FUNDING

  • The Executive Council holds the authority to adjust membership fees based on economic conditions and party needs.
  • Local Initiatives: Individual branches may collect supplementary contributions for local projects. A portion of these extra funds will remain with the collecting branch to support localized party activities.
